Mary Simmonds, MD, FACP

Dr. Simmonds has been a member of AndrewsPatel Hematology/Oncology since 2001. Throughout prior years and continuing to the present day, Dr. Simmonds’ tireless efforts as an advocate for improving access, care and treatment for cancer patients have earned her numerous awards and citations. She was the co-founder of the Pennsylvania Cancer Pain Initiative in 1989 and, in addition to being a long-standing volunteer with the American Cancer Society, in 2003 she was the first woman National Volunteer President of the American Cancer Society. Currently, Dr. Simmonds is a trustee of the PA Breast Cancer Coalition.
